"Prayer is good when accompanied by fasting, almsgiving, and righteousness. A little with righteousness is better than much with wrong doing. It is better to give alms than to treasure up gold. For almsgiving delivers from death, and it will purge away every sin. Those who perform deeds of charity and of righteousness will have fullness of life,  but those who commit sin are the enemies of their own lives." [Archangel Raphael; Tobit 12:8-10]

MODERN PROPHECY

"I am now making myself the voice of these poor children of mine, who have no voice, to repeat to all: think of these brothers of yours, of those who even today are dying of hunger and need. Give to these little ones of mine that which you have in abundance! Do not busy yourself with gathering riches, when those goods which your Creator has put at the disposition of all should be distributed among all."

[Virgin Mary; MMP#214, Calcutta, India Nov. 1980]

Do you have a special son or daughter, or a special loved one that you cherish very much? You care for and look out for the best for that person. Now keep that thought, as we turn to what concerns you the most in the world today. Is it the prospect of war with other nations? The fate of human trafficking victims? Or cruelty to Christians in the East? The Abortion of innocent children? The state of your Country? The state of the Church? The fate of souls who will end up in hell? Does it concern you so much that you would be willing to give up that special person in your life - a son or daughter - so that concern of yours would be resolved and turn out well? That's what God did for you and for me.

ANCIENT PROPHECY

"I will rejoice in doing them good, and I will plant them in this land in faithfulness, with all my heart and soul. For thus says the Lord: Just as I have brought all this great evil upon this people, so I will bring upon them all the good I promise them." [Jeremiah 32:41-42]

"For all men who were ignorant of God were foolish by nature; and they were unable from the good things that are seen to know him who exists, nor did they recognize the craftsman while paying heed to his works; but they supposed that either fire or wind or swift air, or the circle of the stars, or turbulent water, or the luminaries of heaven were the gods that rule the world. If through delight in the beauty of these things men assumed them to be gods, let them know how much better than these is their Lord."  [Wisdom of Solomon 13:1-3]

"For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." [John 3:16]

"But when you give alms, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your alms may be in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will reward you...

But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will reward you...

But when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, that your fasting may not be seen by men but by your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will reward you."

[Jesus; Matthew 6:3-4,6,17-18]

"Then the King will say to those at his right hand, 'Come, O blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me'...Then he will say to those at his left hand, 'Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels; for I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink, I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me'".

[Jesus; Matthew 25:41-43]
