"I am now making myself the voice of these poor children of mine, who have no voice, to repeat to all: think of these brothers of yours, of those who even today are dying of hunger and need. Give to these little ones of mine that which you have in abundance! Do not busy yourself with gathering riches, when those goods which your Creator has put at the disposition of all should be distributed among all."
[Virgin Mary; MMP#214, Calcutta, India Nov. 1980]
Actual events will be determined by you and I in how we respond to those in need whom God puts in our path, especially those of a different race or color. We overcome fear with prayer and love. At those times when we don't feel love, we let fear of the Lord guide us to the right actions.
"Prayer is good when accompanied by fasting, almsgiving, and righteousness. A little with righteousness is better than much with wrong doing. It is better to give alms than to treasure up gold. For almsgiving delivers from death, and it will purge away every sin. Those who perform deeds of charity and of righteousness will have fullness of life, but those who commit sin are the enemies of their own lives."
[Archangel Raphael; Tobit 12:8-10]
"But when you give alms, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your alms may be in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will reward you...
But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will reward you...
But when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, that your fasting may not be seen by men but by your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will reward you."
[Jesus; Matthew 6:3-4,6,17-18]
"Then the King will say to those at his right hand, 'Come, O blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me'...Then he will say to those at his left hand, 'Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels; for I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink, I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me'".
[Jesus; Matthew 25:41-43]
